Help & frequently asked questions
How to get set up and running, from adding the booking button to your site to payments, recurring jobs, and connecting HubSpot. Can’t find an answer? Email [email protected] and a real person will help.
Getting started
Go from “landed on your site” to “taking bookings” in about ten minutes.
How do I add online booking to my website?
Paste one line of code where you want the button to appear. It works on Wix, Squarespace, Framer, WordPress, and most site builders, and you don’t need a developer. Prefer not to touch your site? Share your own booking page at yourbusiness.sorvius.com instead, or drop it in your link-in-bio.
Do I get my own booking page?
Yes. Every business gets a booking page at its own address, like yourbusiness.sorvius.com, using a name you choose. Customers can get a price and book there without a website, so you can put the link in your Instagram or Facebook bio, your Google Business Profile, a text, or a QR code on a flyer.
Do I need to be tech-savvy?
If you can copy and paste, you can set it up. Most businesses are live in about ten minutes. The setup wizard walks you through your services, pricing, and payment connection step by step.
What kinds of businesses is Sorvius for?
Any local service you can put a price on, including lawn care, house cleaning, snow removal, pressure washing, landscaping, pool & spa, handyman work, and pet services. If customers ask “how much and when,” Sorvius books it. One login covers every service and season, so you don’t need separate tools as you add offerings.
I already have a contact form. Why do I need this?
A contact form collects names; Sorvius collects booked jobs. Keep your form for questions and add an instant-quote button for people ready to hire. They get your price in zero minutes instead of hours, and you lock in the customer before they shop around.
Pricing & quotes
Every price comes from the rate card you set.
How does instant pricing work?
You build a rate card (price by size, by the hour, by unit, or a flat rate), and customers get an instant price from it when they book. You always confirm the final price before the first visit, so nothing is charged on a number you didn’t approve.
Can I take quote requests instead of showing a price?
Yes. For jobs you’d rather price case-by-case, customers submit a request instead of getting an instant number. You review the details, send a quote from your dashboard, and the customer confirms it in one click before anything is scheduled or charged.
Can I add, change, or remove services later?
Any time. Edit your services and rates from the dashboard whenever your pricing or offerings change, including seasonal services you only run part of the year.
Can I offer extras and add-on services?
Yes. Each service can have priced extras the customer ticks while booking, such as inside the oven or a load of laundry, and you can let customers add a second service to the same booking. The total and the estimated time update as they choose.
Can I offer discount codes?
Yes. Create codes in the dashboard as a percentage or a fixed amount, with an optional expiry date and an optional limit on how many times each can be used, and choose which services they apply to. Customers enter the code when they book.
Payments & billing
Customers pay you directly through your own Stripe account.
How do payments work?
You connect your own Stripe account in a couple of clicks. Customers pay you directly, and Stripe deposits the money to your bank on its normal schedule. Sorvius takes a 5% platform fee from each payment made through it (deposits and per-visit charges, including any tip or sales tax on that charge), in addition to Stripe’s standard processing fees. The fee comes out automatically, and when Sorvius refunds a payment the fee on it is returned. Sorvius never holds the rest of your funds.
When is my customer charged?
The customer saves a card when they book, but nothing is charged upfront. You’re paid per completed visit: you mark a visit done, confirm the price, and the saved card is charged for that visit. Recurring jobs charge automatically after each completed visit.
Can I capture bookings without taking online payments?
Yes. If you’d rather arrange payment directly with the customer, you can turn off online payments and still use Sorvius to capture quotes and bookings.
What does Sorvius cost?
Standard is $39/mo and Pro is $79/mo, and both include unlimited bookings. Payments your customers make through Sorvius carry a 5% platform fee on top of Stripe’s processing fees; there’s no fee on payments you collect yourself. Every plan starts with 14 days free. You add a card before going live, but nothing is charged until the trial ends; cancel before day 14 and you won’t be charged. There are no setup fees or contracts, and you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel any time from Settings → Billing.
What’s the difference between Standard and Pro?
Standard covers instant quotes with priced extras, booking, recurring scheduling, payments, reminders, a self-serve portal for your customers, discount codes, booking questions, tips, sales tax, a calendar feed, and your customer list. Pro adds deposits, automatic follow-up with visitors who got a price but didn’t book, automatic Google review requests, team access for 3 crew members who see only their assigned jobs, and HubSpot sync, webhooks and a developer API. You can start on either plan and switch whenever you like.
Can I add sales tax or accept tips?
Yes, and both are off until you turn them on in Settings → Payments. With sales tax on, you enter your rate, customers see the tax before they book, and it’s added to each visit’s charge. With tips on, customers can add a tip when they book (a preset percentage or their own amount), and it’s charged with the first visit.
Bookings & scheduling
Recurring jobs, reminders, and changes handled for you.
Does Sorvius handle recurring jobs?
Yes. Customers can book one-time or on a repeating schedule: weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. Sorvius creates the upcoming visits automatically, and each one charges after it’s completed.
Do customers and I get reminders?
Customers receive booking confirmations and visit reminders by email (and SMS where enabled), and you get an alert with an attached calendar file for every new booking so it lands straight on your schedule.
Can I add a booking myself?
Yes. Alongside bookings that come in through your widget, you can create bookings manually from the dashboard for jobs you take by phone or in person.
How do I cancel a booking?
Open the booking and choose Cancel. Bookings you created manually are simply removed. For bookings made through your widget, the customer is automatically emailed that it’s cancelled, any not-yet-charged visits are stopped, and the booking is kept for your reference under the Cancelled filter.
Can customers change their own bookings?
Yes. Booking confirmations and reminders include a link to the customer’s own page, where they can reschedule or skip an upcoming visit and update the card on file without logging in. You get an email whenever they make a change.
Can I ask customers questions when they book?
Yes. Add questions to any service, such as parking, access or pets, as a dropdown or a short text answer, and mark any of them as required. The answers show on the booking and on your crew’s job view.
Can I see my bookings in Google Calendar?
Yes. Settings → Integrations has a calendar feed link you can subscribe to in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook, and your upcoming visits show up there. It’s available on every plan.
Does Sorvius ask my customers for reviews?
On the Pro plan, yes. Add your Google review link in Settings and turn on review requests. About two days after you mark a visit complete, the customer gets an email (and a text, if you’ve turned on SMS) asking for a review, and each customer is asked at most once every 90 days.
Integrations
HubSpot sync, webhooks and the developer API are on the Pro plan. The calendar feed is on every plan.
What integrations does Sorvius have?
Every plan gets a calendar feed for Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. Pro adds HubSpot sync, webhooks that send booking events to your own systems, and a developer API for services, availability and bookings. You’ll find all of them under Settings → Integrations.
Does Sorvius integrate with HubSpot?
Yes. On the Pro plan you can connect your HubSpot account so every booking flows into your CRM automatically, without exporting or copying anything.
What syncs to HubSpot?
Each customer becomes a Contact and each job becomes a Deal, created and kept up to date as bookings are made and confirmed. Sorvius only writes the records tied to your bookings; it never reads or changes the rest of your CRM.
How do I connect HubSpot?
In your Sorvius dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations, click “Connect HubSpot,” and authorize the connection in HubSpot. It takes a few clicks. New bookings start syncing right away.
How do I disconnect HubSpot?
Go to Settings → Integrations in your dashboard and click Disconnect. Records already in HubSpot stay put; Sorvius simply stops sending new updates.
Which HubSpot permissions does Sorvius request?
Only what it needs to sync your bookings: permission to create and update Contacts and Deals. Sorvius does not request access to your other CRM data, marketing tools, or settings.
